Big shout out to Jenna, Amanda, Jessica, Pam, and Melissa for coordinating one of the most epic pot luck lunches I have ever seen. NYC office – you have officially been challenged by your Arizona counterparts. It started out as a menagerie of amazing culinary treats, and turned into an awesome team building event. I think we had 50 people packed into an 18’x24′ room (the break room). A glancing thought ran across my mind…turn down the lights, crank up the techno, and bust out the patron. But seriously, I was impressed with food prep skills of the team. We had a huge contribution, and I’m sorry if I missed anyone. Thanks Jiro, Bill, Katie, Meaghan, Jenna, Aaron, Amanda, Josh, Brianne, David, Jenny, James, Danielle, Heather, Nik, Dean, Austin, Ryan, Wynter and Amy ……
So without further ado, here’s some of the highlights:
Prosciutto-Wrapped Goat Cheese and Date Hors d’oeuvres
Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip Love
Meatballs Part 1: Sweet and Sour
Meatballs Part 2: Swedish
Fig and Goat Cheese Salad
Chocolate and Peanut Butter Parfaits
Aaron, this is Best Cake Ever Made by a Man. #IACQ for Life.
Rice Krispies Treats… with Chocolate Drizzles!
An Oldie but a Goodie
Peach and Fruit Cobbler
European Danish, Cookies, and Pastries
All of this looks delicious but everybody knows New York is the epicenter for iAcquire’s culinary arts.
Arizona Cooking skills are a lot like their Ping Pong Skills…WEAK!
I’m booking my fight to AZ ASAP!
Oh man, Jenna’s dip was insane.
Oh man…Jenna’s dip was RIDICULOUS. I had to struggle not to just stick my face in that crock pot. SO GOOD!
Jenna I am going to need that dip recipe for my “Chips & Dips” restaurant.
Peter, here is the recipe:http://allrecipes.com/recipe/buffalo-chicken-dip/detail.aspx
I changed it up slightly. I didn’t use canned chicken. I used a rotisserie chicken and shredded it myself. Also, I didn’t have celery so I left that out.
I skipped the skillet part and just put everything into a crockpot in the morning. I turned it to low, stirred occasionally and it was ready in a few hours. It lasted 10 minutes haha. You may want to double the recipe.
Good Luck NYC.
[…] room, you need not apply here. This break room is reserved for far nobler pursuits. Like holding a ton of food for a potluck; casual ping pong between a new hire and a veteran; or ultra-competitive ping pong between some of […]
