The Time Constraint
Ingredients
- Deviousness
- Gmail
Directions
- Come up with a reason why the publishing of your content is time-sensitive in a way that will benefit the publisher.
- When e-mailing the publisher, include this reason in the first sentence of your e-mail to ensure they see it. For example: “Attached is my post on Proper Porcupine Grooming Techniques – I’d love to share it and your blog at the Porcupine Symposium I’m attending next week, please let me know if you can publish it by noon Thursday!”
- Later in the e-mail, include another sentence that both compliments the publisher and puts on a bit more pressure. “Don’t forget to let me know if you can publish by Thursday- I love your blog and can’t wait to share it with other porcupine enthusiasts!”
- Realize that yes, you CAN publish 40+ posts a week.
