We use a fast-paced Agile development process that enables us to roll out incremental updates to our processes and systems at a rapid pace. In this post I’m going to outline several areas where iAcquire is innovating.
Creative Use of the Common Crawl Corpus
We’re processing the 2012 corpus from the Common Crawl dataset to find valuable resources that are widely linked to, yet are currently broken (404, etc). The public beta can be seen at brokenlinkindex.com, it is currently populated with a test run covering some 10M pages of data. Once processing is complete, iAcquire’s Broken Link Index will be a unique and incredibly valuable free source for this data. At the same we are identifying these broken resources, we are also analyzing authorship markup in the pages and feeding this information into our Authora tool. Authora will also be receiving real-time author feeds to supplement the data we receive from the Common Crawl.
Real-Time Social Data Acquisition
Live post monitoring provides us with real-time information on who is creating content on topics relevant to our clients and where they are posting it. Blog posts are crawled when they are posted for author markup and categorization. The live author data will become part of the authora.org index in the near future. This will provide an extremely valuable tool for finding authors writing about any particular topic regardless of where they are posting.
End To End Business Analytics
We’re nuts about understanding what is going on in the business and where we need to be focusing our efforts to get the best possible results for our clients on schedule. It’s a difficult task to balance production of content with high-touch publisher/influencer outreach. We’re building best of class tools to give our fulfillment team strong competitive advantage, and we collect metrics about every step of the process that gives us fine-grained data to analyze performance in real-time. We know how important it is to build dashboards with clean UX design that clearly communicates where action needs to be taken.
Live Post Monitoring – The Link Building Possibilities Are Endless
This is a great example of the fruits of our experimental R&D efforts: recently we’ve experienced numerous successes with our experimental live-post monitoring link building strategies. Our live post monitoring had a trigger fire for our client with positive sentiment, yet there was no link. A “product placement” in a satirical post on a popular site. We reached out to them real-time almost immediately after the post went live and were able to easily convert the conversation about the post into a followed link.
Sync’ing Up Clients With Content Production And Natural Outreach
Content calendars are at the center of our content marketing and digital PR efforts. It is critical to properly schedule the development and outreach efforts associated with placing content. We’ve built extremely sophisticated tools to manage our fulfillment workflow. We’re developing what could be the most sophisticated content calendaring system ever created. The system gives a visual representation of the client content calendar and synchronizes the placement schedule with the resources required from our in-house content development team.
Pull In All the Social Data You Can And Display It In One Place
We give our outreach team all the data ammunition we can to establish solid relationships with influencers. We provide them with one-click access to all of the SEO statistics and social metrics we can to help them find the right matches for our clients. Gathering social metrics and conversations surrounding our client’s brands gives our team an unrivaled advantage in our space.
Just Scratching The Surface
