As I mentioned yesterday, iAcquire has been going through a large evolution in a very short amount of time and just this past Monday we added two key superstars to help lead that evolution. The experience and ability each of them brings to the table in their respective roles will catapult the efficacy of our work and our agency in general. So please allow me to introduce you to our new SEO Manager Tom Harari and our new Director of Client Strategy Brittan Bright.

Tom Harari – SEO Manager

Tom Harari joins us from the Omnicom-owned Resolution Media where he was an SEO Strategist. Before that Tom was a member of the SEO team at SEOM Interactive in Philadelphia after working as a Social Media Consultant for the Israel Parliament.

Tom is a fellow Philadelphian who also endured the pain of commuting back and forth from New York until moving to Brooklyn last year. I’m personally a huge fan of Tom and I’m happy to have him leading the SEO arm of my Strategy team. We’ve made the move from link vendor to comprehensive enterprise SEO strategic partner and it’s very important to have that big picture expertise driving the entire team and improving processes. Tom’s experience doing big brand SEO and dealing with a variety of teams puts him in the right position to lead that for iAcquire and we look forward to him building out a strong team of SEOs to help us continue to deliver the great results iAcquire is known for. I also look forward to Tom taking a more active role in thought leadership by speaking at events and contributing to iAcquire studies and blogs.

  • You are a Search superstar from a glamorous digital agency in New York City, what is it about iAcquire that attracted you?
What attracted me to iAcquire was basically the leadership, the culture, and the willingness to adapt to change and push the envelope as relates to search. The approach taken by iAcquire to move forward with cutting-edge persona and audience segmentation research, content marketing at scale, and social influencer based outreach coupled with a desire to evolve into a truly holistic search agency made the decision a no-brainer for me personally. What many in the industry talk about doing, we are actually doing at iAcquire which is a very rewarding feeling coming into the office everyday knowing that.

  • We’ve had a lot of change in the last few months and you are a key player in that continued evolution, what do you hope to add to the growth of iAcquire?
I hope to add in any way I can generally, but specifically I hope to be able to add ideas and processes based on my own experience working at a large media agency. While iAcquire has only recently begun offering On-Page SEO solutions, our team as a whole has years of experience combined in the space managing enterprise level accounts. The diversity of experiences on our team and the culture of collaboration make it the perfect storm to come in and help shape what is quickly becoming an elite digital marketing agency that gets results for its clients.

  • Everybody has that one key project in their career that they are really proud of, tell us about yours.
By far the project that stands out in my mind was a new hotel and casino that was going to market in a crowded space with entrenched competitors that saw the value of investing early in SEO. We were brought on to the project from the outset when the website was nothing more than a “Coming Soon” page. The trust they put in us meant we had a seat at the table with the developers, creative agency, and copywriters during strategy meetings to consult on site-build as the SEO agency of record. On a couple occasions all of the agency partners met on-site during construction of the hotel and sat for hours in a conference room discussing information architecture, taxonomies, and user-stories. Having that level interaction and buy-in from key stakeholders was invaluable in getting SEO strategies and initiatives implemented. We were able to help launch the site with nearly all of our recommendations being approved and pushed live including Schema.org tags across the site which influenced rich snippets in the SERPs almost immediately after launch. We were also brought in to consult their PR teams which meant that the buzz initiated by their launch was not in vain, aiding both PR efforts as well as growing their link equity early on. Most importantly though, the client understood the value of search to their business and what KPIs were important to them to measure success over time (hint: it wasn’t rankings). They made every effort to make us a strategic partner and I’m positive the dividends will continue to pay off for them down the road.

I should also mention that Tom is very humble, he balks at the idea of me calling him a search superstar in this post, but that’s exactly what he is. We’re very happy to have him on board here at iAcquire and already in his first week he’s brought ideas to the table that are going to change the game. There’s nothing better than working with people that are going to push new ideas and deliver. Be sure to follow Tom Harari on Twitter.

Brittan Bright – Director of Client Strategy

Brittan BrightBrittan Bright joins us from GroupM where she was an Account Director on Mindshare business for Search. Her clients included Pfizer, Castrol, Forevermark and several Unilever brands. Before that Brittan was a shining star on sales teams at SlingshotSEO and Monster.com.

Just last week Brittan made a big splash in her SEO speaking debut at SEOMoz’s MozCation in Milwaukee. She spoke about achieving synergy with cross-functional teams to get things done and her 8+ years of experience of selling and managing digital services make her the best fit to lead just that for iAcquire. Her strong ability to communicate technical concepts and make them palpable to higher level executives makes her invaluable in her leadership role on the account management team. As Director of Client Strategy Brittan is the leading client face of everything we do and her experience delivering complete Search (On-Page, Off-page and Paid) solutions instantly galvanizes the iAcquire offering. I look forward to the growth that Brittan will facilitate as she works closely with our VP of Revenue to coach our team.

  • You are a Search superstar from a glamorous digital agency in New York City, what is it about iAcquire that attracted you?
I missed the culture, challenge and caliber of colleagues found more often in a start-up environment. When you work for an agency that offers a variety of disciplines, it’s tough to maintain cutting edge knowledge and innovation in your own discipline because the client’s success  has so many elements to it.  Although I loved the awesome Enterprise clients I got to work with, I often felt my hands were tied when it came to offering them the most up-to-date strategies and tactics. I felt choosing iAcquire would allow me to contribute to an organization in a more impactful way and that maps better to where I am at in my career and my personality. I’m passionate, competitive and creative and from what I can tell, that fits right in with the team iAcquire is assembling.
  • We’ve had a lot of change in the last few months and you are a key player in that continued evolution, what do you hope to add to the growth of iAcquire?
iAcquire took a lot of heat this year, some of it fair, some of it way out of line. I hope to help deliver the company to a new phase of growth and innovation that includes top notch service offerings and a repaired sense of integrity. Any agency offering SEO right now is in an awkward stage of growth due to the phase of maturity our industry is in. How organizations like iAcquire deal with this growth will determine who the leaders are and how the industry is regarded in the future. I hope to continue advocating for the professionalization of SEO as a Marketing Strategy/Discipline and not simply an additional misunderstood and misused tactic.
  • Everybody has that one key project in their career that they are really proud of, tell us about yours.
I recently presented a case study at an SEOMoz Mozcation event in Milwaukee that highlighted the cross-discipline collaboration between agencies that allowed the project to be successful. You can check out the presentation here: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/fun-unlocked-mozcation-milwaukee-2012
