The Time Constraint

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Come up with a reason why the publishing of your content is time-sensitive in a way that will benefit the publisher.
  2. When e-mailing the publisher, include this reason in the first sentence of your e-mail to ensure they see it. For example: “Attached is my post on Proper Porcupine Grooming Techniques – I’d love to share it and your blog at the Porcupine Symposium I’m attending next week, please let me know if you can publish it by noon Thursday!”
  3. Later in the e-mail, include another sentence that both compliments the publisher and puts on a bit more pressure. “Don’t forget to let me know if you can publish by Thursday- I love your blog and can’t wait to share it with other porcupine enthusiasts!”
  4. Realize that yes, you CAN publish 40+ posts a week.
