Hi Kristi, another smashing post because local links are hard to get and I believe they do carry some weight in over all link profile. The another technique I use is asking for testimonial for the service or work completed. It can be sometimes we might have to incentivise them either with discount or offer or promotional give away. I also target regional newspapers with PR hook with some sort of story and unique data.
